Happy New Year!

well happy new year!!!....i guess. it's kind of obligatory to wish everyone happy new year ditto christmas, and seeing as we haven't posted anything recently i thought that this would be a good topic.
the age of wearing novelty glasses for new years is long gone and will only be rejuvinated (spelling, sorry) in 2020!! omg what will we do!?
anyways, even though there is the let down of no more funny glasses, i feel that new year is just a let down anyway. it's just been christmas which is the best time of year ever and so any celebration after that can never really live up to it until mabye your birthday. also winter is horrible and cols and wet. everyone now has to go back to school. taxes rise. revising starts. you probably have a hangover or feel upset that your new year celebration didn't live up to expectations.also your making a new years resolution that you know you can't keep!
how depressing am i? now i will start with the positives; it's a new year so make a new start. try and be a better version of you and don't hold past grudges, live in the future :) and always know...i'm here when you feel shit

WTF

i'm going to start a monthly post called 'WTF' which will tell the world of weird new trends that i just don't get!
this month is the 'wrong way round boy(band) hoodie'. i call it this as members of JLS and One Direction have been spotted sporting the latest trend. it appears to be a cross between a baggy snood attached to a top or they were in such a rush to go out and woo the poor defenseless girls of today that they put their hoodies on the wrong way..we all do it.
what do you think...stupid? or it doesn't matter cos they're just so damn fit!

Christmas Season!

Tis' the season to be jolly falalalala lalalala!
The party season is in full swing and with the holidays starting soon, you can even party on a weekday :O If you want to find party dresses then the sales are on in quite a few shops, be savvy and unless you know that the dress you are getting is a good investment for the future DON'T splurge on an uber-expensive one! i know a girl who managed to get a decent dress for £1.75 (!) now i'm not saying that over a fiver is unreasonable but i think that for teenagers the top mark should be £50, this includes accessories and shoes! if the occasion is quite important then you can be leniant but remember, there's going to be more party's next year!
if you are an adult with a good job then between £75 and £150 should be your ideal range. Now we're not writing this blog for the rich, but the ordinary fashion folk, so you may have different ideas on how much a dress/suit should cost, i'm here to give you some guidance.
i would advise people to steer clear of internet shopping unless you are familiar with the shop and it's sizes because ordering online ca cause all sorts of problems. the dress could fit but look completely different on you then it did on the website or there sizes could be different and a size 10 that would usually fit, feels more like an 8! i have had first hand experience of this myself as well as having lots of friends who have gone through the trauma of finding a dress at the last minute.
So now you don't know what to get! well if it's a club that your going to, or a friends party, then sort hemlines and a bit of chest flesh showing is fine. don't go too OTT let the jewellery, make-up, shoes do tha for you!
If it is a formal thing or family gathering then you might not want to bare too much skin, class is very stylish :)
Gold, black, dark reds and neutrals are in! So for the make-up go for either dark mysterious eyes or sexy, burgandy, juicy lips. you could also go for a rose pink/shimmer natural look, sparkling smoky eyes or matte red lips.
wit the clothes, lace dresses are very in and there are lots of tights out there with a simple patterned seem up the back or on the side- check out henry holland or pretty polly. lac black dresses are always a winner or a sparkly sequined up number.i saw a georgeous red velvet dress from whistles too.
you don't want to over-do the sparkle so choose one thing that is going to stand out. for shoes large strap wedges are in as well as sequined within an inch of their lives ones!

TREND ALERT!
if you have been keeping an eye out for the hot new designers that your friends are wearing, then you've probably heard of Paul's Boutique.
i first found Paul's Boutique when i was looking for bags on the topshop website and they were one of the designers boutiques. i fell in love and would go on the website everyday, deciding which was my favorite one, which to make mine! then i went a bit mental and bought the thing, i say i was a bit mental cos, seriously, designer stuff is overpriced and sometimes over-rated. i got that bag sometime before the summer hols and i still love it.
i must say i think i might have started a trend here :) ok i'm sure most of you will object, but please let me just feel cool. everyones i=got a pb bag or hoodie and i even saw a couple of people with the coats (top on my christmas list!)
now its a trend, though, i almost feel embarrassed cos i'm not the sort of person who wears what all the cool people wear and i like to be unique!!
the worst thing that i've done recently is wear my pb bag and hoodie at the same time (they don't even go!) my excuse is that it's my warmest hoodie and biggest bag, but it was an accident...i was rushing ok?!
so, i just thought that i should share with the world that i started this trend, last thing..can it become way unpopular now! :S
